Physical Education Overview

The physical education program helps to develop the student on an individual success-oriented basis. The curriculum and instructional methods are modified in order to provide a productive program geared for students needs. Holidays are integrated with P.E. to highlight the importance that they have on the mind, body and soul. We strive to meet the needs of the student physically, intellectually, neuro-muscularly, and emotionally. This is accomplished utilizing a variety of locomotor and non-locomotor movements, games, sports, physical testing, and fun-filled activities.

The following skills are taught and emphasized throughout the year in age appropriate activities. Hand-eye coordination, throwing, catching, batting, rhythmic jumping, dodging, game strategies, object manipulation, and sportsmanship.
